Kendall Auto Group affiliate NAFCO Finance has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time career position. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position requires a qualified individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist with a growing loan portfolio, with an emphasis on customer service and payment collection. A general understanding of business practices and regulation concepts affecting areas where NAFCO conducts business – namely Contract Law, Credit and Collection Law, and Accounting experience is preferred. The administrative assistant will be required to acquire specific knowledge and understanding of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and regulations promulgated by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and other regulatory agencies as applicable to NAFCO operations.

The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the NAFCO Manager and assist with all aspects of NAFCO loan servicing and reporting including but not limited to: communicating with Credit Applicants, Borrowers, RISC Producers, Dealership Personnel, Insurance Companies, Suppliers and Vendors of products and services purchased by NAFCO, Shareholders, and Administrative Associates of Kendall Management Group. The successful candidate will have prior work history that supports the job functions and tasks of this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Superior Language Skills – Verbal and Written 
  • Ability to work affectively in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Conduct Research using Internet Tools and Computerized Database Management System.
  • Basic understanding Contract Law, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
  • Calm Demeanor. 
  • Perform Specific Procedural Protocols Routinely and Accurately.

DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:

  • Assist the NAFCO Manager in performing the functions and duties necessary to meet NAFCO business requirements, specifically centered around payment collection and telephone communication with customers. 
  • Acquire an awareness and understanding of NAFCO Policy and Procedures. 
  • Maintain the integrity and validity of data stored in Loan Servicing Software. 
  • Process incoming phone call, emails, and website inquiries from Clients. 
  • Initiate daily outgoing calls to customers with delinquent accounts to assist in bringing the account current.
  • Communications will include verbal via telephone and face-to-face, and written communications in both electronic and hard copy form.
  • Process incoming loan packets, including scanning, organizing, data input, and preparation.
  • Sort and process incoming mail, including scanning and filing titles, insurance documents, and required deal documents. 
  • Maintain physical storage filing system of all client documents. 
  • Other related tasks as assigned.
