Kendall Ford of Meridian has an immediate opening for a Part time Service Drive Assistant to assist in optimizing the performance of our Service Advisors. Required schedule will be: Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri from 2pm to 6pm and Saturdays 8-5. 

Successful candidates must have a positive disposition, enjoy interacting with people, must be friendly, outgoing and proficient in meeting and greeting all guests in a timely fashion. Cashiering experience and General automobile knowledge is a plus.

Must have ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. Driver License and acceptable driving record required.


DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Meet, greet, provide information, and direct service guest to the appropriate service advisor.
Movement and parking of vehicles.
Obtain information from clients and vehicles to assist in repair order completion.
Drive customers to destinations as needed.
Maintain appearance and services of drive up area.
Maintain appearance and services of client waiting areas.
Organize and facilitate information gathering for service consultants on an as needed basis.
Performs data entry, and performs general office clerical tasks.
Clear and legible handwriting.
Frequently operates computer system, cash register, and uses calculator functions.
Other tasks as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Works primarily indoors and transitions between indoors and outdoors to greet customers on the service drive which is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain, snow and other weather conditions.
Some of indoors work is in a shop environment, with exposure to fumes, dust and elevated sound levels.
Standing/walking for short distances: up to three-quarters of work shift on hard surfaces.
Carrying/Lifting: occasionally, up to 10 pounds for up to 200 feet.
Bending/Twisting: primarily to get in and out of vehicles.
Sight adequate to identify color and condition of vehicles, work with a PC, and drive on public roads using navigational devices.
Hearing adequate to converse with clients in person and by telephone.
Clear speaking voice for efficient in person and telephone communication.
