The Kendall Auto Mall has an immediate opening for a General Sales Manager.  This position is responsible for profitability in both the new and used vehicle departments and for customer retention.  To achieve this, they must effectively manage sales personnel, have a strong knowledge of the market, and an in-depth understanding of all sales departments' financial data as well as strong customer relations skills. Dealership General Sales Manager Job Description
The General Sales Manager is responsible for the overall performance and operations of the entire dealership. Critical responsibilities include meeting sales and client satisfaction goals, compliance with legal and contractual requirements, and staff development.

Essential Job Duties
Works with company administrative staff, managers and Area General Manager to establish objectives, and the development and management of processes to achieve these. Provides staff management and development, for both direct and indirect reports. Supervision of subordinate managers includes providing training and direction to ensure these managers perform proper management and development of their respective staffs.
Applies strategic planning to obtain satisfactory results in all dealership operations.
Reviews performance data to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels.
Complies with and enforces compliance with Kendall policies.
Has knowledge of all Sales processes and tasks, and the general ability to perform them.
Develops processes to ensure client and employee satisfaction.

Physical Requirements

Most work is performed within an office environment, using PCs, phones, papers and other common equipment.
The position requires occasional overnight travel.
